Christine Marcus

CEO and Founder

Christine enjoyed a diverse background spanning the worlds of government, business and start-ups that has allowed her to observe culture’s power to either galvanize or stunt a business’ growth. Upon completing a successful career as a high-level executive at the U.S. Department of Energy, Christine was eager to explore more of her left-brain passions, including fashion, food, art, travel and design. While earning her MBA at MIT Sloan’s School of Management, Christine noticed an opportunity in the market – a chance to bridge the gap between local restaurants and employers wanting to provide inspired and extraordinary food for their staff. From there, Alchemista was born.


Matty Durgin

Director of Strategy

Matty boasts 25 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality spaces, 10 of those spent in operational management positions and beverage program development. A culture and cocktail enthusiast, he was a member of the opening front-of-house teams for several reputable establishments throughout Boston and New York City, including Island Creek Oyster Bar, Toro, and Yvonne’s.
